Here we are, as we always were
I know you're never sure, smiling, her
Take the wind's hand and go
The impossible is possible, no matter how slow

Twilight fades, on empty roads
Leaves have other sides, other codes
Summer storm, races over me
Meadows awash with December's poetry

Nightingale swirls, summer sings
Inside, empty telephone rings
Dusty paths and aching hills
Too far, too far, the dream kills

Neptune sky and glass roses
Many smiles in photo poses
Reeds swirl and the sea creases
As fate lets you decide, and deceases

Put away these notions, and meet me there
Settling on a world of doubt, with no care
Nigthingale, neptune and sea
Summer's too damn happy a place to be

Wonderful, the pace was a little off here and there - but the words, wonderful.

Thanks Ash.

And no FF, not since Ashman's 'story'.

Everyone seems to be inspired to write poems, since your SSC entry Ashman.

Nice, a couple of the lines didn't read as sweetly as I wanted them to, but nevertheless it was powerful and had a couple of wonderful phrases within it. I likes, do post more of your poetry.
