when you turn the pc on and it scans the memory it says the freqency is 133 megaherts and i know that all the ram is 333 megahertz does that mean that i need to change some settings or is it just something different.

if it's DDR it means it's running at 133MHz x 2 = 266MHz.
It's probably running synchronously with your CPU's bus speed.

In the BIOS you should probably be able to change the memory frequency to 166MHz.
