With the speed switch on "Indoor" and the dial on "10" it'll do 4mph, which I believe is the legal limit on a pavement.
Set to "Outdoor" it's been clocked at 10mph.

If you put a decent small (ie 25cc) engine in, upgraded the aerodynamics and turbo'd it, it would be a real death machine... ;)
