My computer freezes when I shut it down, showing 'Saving your Settings'.
I can move the mouse, but can't press ctrl+alt+del.

Ugh.
It went away for a while, following instruction of changing it away from the Classic Windows log-on screen to the Windows Welcome screen, but yesterday it came back.
I would propably have found out sooner, only I hardly ever turn my PC off, as I'm generally downloading large files...

Hopefully have found a Driver not from Microsoft Update that will solve my little problem. Hopefully.
Otherwise, if I'm making a blatant mistake somewhere, please tell me.

What happens if you leave it for an appreciable amount of time? Does it ever shut down? Sounds like one of your programs is hanging.
