Although when I got home, I found out my dad had one of the previous albums. That can't be good .... surely.

I dunno about previous albums, but there's not much synths and organs on this. Most of it is more like soft rock, with gentle geetar riffs and some good beats and some catchy keyboard lines.
Mull Historical society? All synthesisers and electric organs, right? I haven't heard much of his work, but I heard a cover of Ms Dynamite's "It Takes More" once- he made a really good song out of it, whilst making parts sound like "Golden Brown" by The Stranglers. I've hardly ever seen any albums in the shops, but I guess there have been around 3 releases.
