Nintendo delay stuff. It is a fact of life they delay stuff. Sony don't delay as much so why do Nintendo?
Lets name some games, Zelda, Perfect Dark, Conker and Smash Brothers. What do all these games have in common? They are all excellent and in fact beyond excellent and they were all delayed. The few months before Perfect Dark hit the shops had me in an almost unshakable trance. "Must get Perfect Dark" is what I was saying in between tearing my hair out after reading yet another 2 month delay.
So why do Nintendo delay games? because it isn't ready! 3rd party developers may be content on reaching deadlines and if doing so means certain unfinished parts of the game needs to be canned then it will be. An example of a game like this is Castlevania where 2 playble characters and a few levels were not included in the fianl game.
Nintendo and Rare though are different. If a deadline is approaching and Nintendo still haven't finished the last level then they will delay it. Which is why the delay of a GC doesn't dissapoint me because if Sony were making it, it will come out much sooner but wouldn't be nearly as good.
Sure it is annoying and frustrating but at least we are getting the best. And that is all that matters.

Not once did i say PS games aren't big i'm talking about the projects in general. FF games are huge but they are just the same game being released, Zelda required a complete new engine, perfect graphics, excellent camera angles.
I'm not talking about Game sizes but i'm talking about how hard a game is to make and what Nintendo have planned. making it a BIG project, Nintendo just try to do so much which causes delays.
This is my theory anyway.

I don't mind waiting for games like Zelda which are said to be great (and they are) for mybe a month or so but I can't wait nearly another year for it to come out in Japan then in Great BRitain, it's not fair!!
Im pretty sure it will be once its here, but it just seems like we have been waiting forever for it without any good reason!!

I dont mind a majority of Nintendo games being delayed - Especially if its to get the most out of them - The only game that I cant understand why its taken so long is Excitebike 64 - I have waited and waited for this but every month it slips further away and Im beginning to wonder if we will ever see it released over here!! What could possibly be the hold up?? Its been out in America for well over a year now and usually the UK release is just a couple of months later, but we still have no idea when its out!! By the time we get it, it could well be that it looks way out of date and not worth getting at all!! Where the hell is it at??

The Playstation 2 was delayed, but that just turned out superb! Why do you say that if Sony was to make the Gamecube it wouldn't be as good?

The Playstation 2 was delayed, but that just turned out superb! Why do you say that if Sony was to make the Gamecube it wouldn't be as good?
Whatever the reason, no-one knows, and noone will know because it will never happen.
