Anyone seen this? I'd never seen his stand-up before, just in "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" and "Brewster's Millions", and the adverts for the stand-up DVD saying it was the funniest thing ever. And it's...well...a bit funny in places, but the rest of it is out-dated "I'm a n****r - look I'm black" jokes. His stories about the animals, and how he talks to them are really funny, but even they come down to racist levels (yes, black against white IS racist, and the other way round would start a riot over there). Some bits gave me big belly laughs, but when he starts going on about colour it gets a bit tedious. It's all true though, us crackers are sooo lame.
Well since they're comedians, I think it's far to compare them on how much they make me laugh.

You can't really compare the two. Hicks was an outspoken political activist, who really struck a chord with the people through his delivery, but could also have been a cult leader. Pryor is the funny black man who makes jokes about the whiteys. His anecdotes are great, but he sets race relations back about 50 years.

Anyway, I've seen this and I thought the same. Heard it was an amazing stand-up set but wasn't really that impressed. Laughed a couple of times but I wasn't exactly gasping for air or in tears at any point. I've laughed more at Bill Hicks gigs.
