I was posting in a topic once and I saw how many PS owners said that they'd bought a multitap but never really used it that much so 4 player wasn't that great.

At first I was amazed, the I thought that they were lying, after which I thought that there were obviously no decent 4 player games on the PS...

...and then after thinking about many of my friends, a less obvious reason entered my head...

I was born into a family with 2 brothers and we've been brought up to play nicely together.
We'd always liked games that we could play together instead of having to take turns to play.

That's why sooner or later, it was inevitable that we would own an N64.

There was a stage in my life where I thought that the PS was a bit past it, the N64 was a little kids toy and the Dreamcast was what I had to save up for.
Then I played Goldeneye at a friends house. And again...

and again...

I brought round my brothers and we had a huge multiplayer blast. The very next day, we ordered an SR memberships along with an N64 with 4 pads.

It only had Goldneye and it lasted 4 WHOLE MONTHS!
The multiplayer was that good.

All of my favourite games - Smash Brothers, WWF No Mercy, Perfect Dark have superb multiplayer modes.
I'm more or less bored with the single player modes on these games but playing 3 player on any of these games can last forever.

It never occured to me that some people wouldn't have 2 brothers to play against.

I know that I wouldn't have enjoyed these games half as much without the multiplaying fun. I wouldn't even recommend buying Smash Brothers unless you have some friends/brothers to regularly play against.

I always thought that while the Gamecube had more pad ports than the PS2 it couldn't lose, but with so many people out there with people to play against, it turns out that it isn't such a decisive factor after all.

If you have an N64 and don't have any siblings to play against, instead of asking for a new game for your birthday, ask for an adopted sibling (who must like computer games) instead. That way you'll get 10 times as much fun out of your existing games.

I bet that if FM has any kids that can give him a decent multiplayer match, even he might end up buying a Nintendo machine!

If you don't like your brother then take out your anger by shooting him in the head on Goldeneye and you'll improve your gaming skills at the same time!

Are your brothers younger or older.

Because I have one brother and we can't stay in the same room for more than ten minutes together, let alone stay for half an hour on a Nintendo TOGETHER!!
