I just reinstalled rollercoaster tycoon but when I try and run it I get a message saying "not supported on windows NT" - any idea why this is happening? I have XP Pro, I thought it supported all previous OS's too?

Give me some help please.

Might also look out for it on Xbox, although I do prefer to use a mouse!

Hiya Paradox, Try this:

Locate and Right click on the Rollercoaster Tycoon exe...
Go down to properties, and click it.
Now you should see a window with various tabs and settings;
Click on the compatibility Tab;

Now you should see a few boxes, Tick the one that says
Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Underneath there is a drop down box, select
Windows 98 / ME now press apply, then OK.

Click on this exe and hopefully it will work, Windows will run this program in 98 mode. Its very handy, i use it for all my old programs. Some programs don't agree with it, but i'd say a good 80% work. Try it and let me know :D

I think this is because XP is based around a network, like NT; it basically recognises XP as NT because it was made in 1999, when only NT was practical for networking. They both work around the same principle, so my advice is to try installing it when logged in as Administrator, because this is basically the same as installing it on a non-networked computer because the Administrator usually has priveliges.
