Tamagotchis are old news, but looking after pets are still at large in the gaming industry and Because there are so many things going wrong with our agricultural society I think that a British company should make a game which lets you control a farm, like Theme Park World or the Sims. You would start off doing small jobs for your dad, who happens to be a farmer, you then get your own little patch in the corner of a field and some small seeds, the seeds grow into mammouth vegetables and you win prizes, the family goat then munches on them in anger as he just found out hes about to be slaughtered along with his family as a new diesese called 'killalotofanimals' has been discovered in the deepest part of the Nervada desert where they don't have any animals, and is said to be pretty harmless but it's not worth the risk.
5 Years later, your father has to move away to attend an international meeting of farmers, your left in charge of the fields and the keys to the tractor, lots of adventures await you as the pig's food runs low, and some sheep escape from their pen.
Also your rival a kid you have been friends with until recently has decided to join his dad in the 'Genitacally Modified' food manufacturing business and has lots of evil plans to put you out of business!

Just think, you would have to buy and maintain some scarecrows to gaurd your precious crops from crows, You can't buy sprays for your crops however as it's an organic field! Oh, and you could get insurance plans and take your trusted dog to the vets. Get married, and give birth to a sequel.

I don't know, maybe when your dad eventually leaves for good and your head of the farm, you can name the sheep because they will be yours, alos, if there are any little holigans running about your field syphoning petrol from your tractor you can blast them with your shotgun. Just a thought.

In this farm game do u get to name the sheep? I'd call mine sheepy. It'd be a real shame when they all got BSE or Foot and Mouth or whatever, and then died.

I downloaded a copy of the SNES's Harvest Moon ROM...

and it is VERY strangly addictive...

it looks and runs kinda like the SNES Zelda series...

Which is probably why it translates so well to the GB... although they did release a GBC version of the game quite recently, which I understand it pretty good...

Unusal concept... but strangly fun :)
