I am having problems with my monitor. Whenever I start Windows, it loads up fine and dandy, and the boot screen appears okay. But when the log on screen appears, the picture is at the lowest resolution and lowest colour settings, with a distorted bar across the top. If I switch to another monitor, the same low res low colour happens.
However, when I restart (on the other monitor), it loads up fine and all is normal. Switch over back to original monitor and it's also fine.
As soon as I shutdown (on original monitor) and restart, it's screwy again.
When it's in screwy mode, I try to change the display settings but the slider refuses to shift from 800x600 to 1024x768 and the only colour option is Lowest - 4 bit.
Please, help!
