Sonatine and Violent Cop both starring Beat Takeshi, one of my favourite actors and
Fearless Hyena starring Jackie Chan in apparently his first directing role.
So far i've watched Fearless Hyena and it was great, mixes great kung fu action with awful english voices resulting in a very funny movie. Chan also surprised me with his mixture of funny facial expressions that i would say even rivalled Jim Carrey's. The usual plot you'd find in this sort of film, Chan goes out avenging someones death (won't spoil it for those who will watch it in the future) who he loved after long bouts of training to get him ready.
The fight scenes were amazingly choreographed and in most of them the comedy was very well implemented with the highlight being where he dressed as a woman while fighting a big beast of a man. My favourite one though had to be where he fought the evil man's 3 henchman complete with spears, fast paced and the way the spears always came within a whisker of Chan was breath taking and a great testament to the actors abilities.
I'd definitly suggest you go out and buy it as it is much better then the Hollywood films Chan has turned in. If you love bad english dubbing and great fight scenes, you'll love this.
Note: stupid bloody edit function not having a edit topic part :-D
(I've also not got around to watching Drunken Master or Snake in the Eagle's Shadow as I've read rumours of better special edition dvds coming from Hong Kong Legends, so I'll wait for them)
