Maybe you could explain now after the Portugal game the real reason for you being so crap because obviously the excuse of not doing as much conditioning with Real Madrid thus meaning you weren't as fit is about as credible as you actually being called world class.
There was Figo in the 90th minute doing his bit slide tackling in on the dutch lad working hard for his team until the final whistle. Now unless he trains on his own he has the same regime as you Becks, he plays for the same team so maybe now you can just admit you were poor instead of coming up with excuse after pathetic excuse.

Foreman said it all with his 'Big playeritis' thread not so long ago. Beckham gets tired easily, and should be replaced, but becausehe's Becks, he doesn't.
England need their best players to perform in tournaments like these especially when the chips are down.

If a person like myself can play 4 games of basketball a week for 20 weeks without needing a break or dropping in quality then surely a 'world class athlete' like Becks should be able to manage a couple of games a footie a week. Plus i wasn't earning £100,000 a week either.

If a person like myself can play 4 games of basketball a week for 20 weeks without needing a break or dropping in quality then surely a 'world class athlete' like Becks should be able to manage a couple of games a footie a week. Plus i wasn't earning £100,000 a week either.
