Azul, you know what to do at this point.

Anyway, I was asked by my Inspector to partake in a homeless person street count, again. This involves me taking a social worker round all the places in the city where he thinks rough sleepers may be.

During this last night, at around 4am we had a person nick a moped and make off from an officer. He went the wrong way up streets and through the city on the pavements. I was driving this bloke, who was talking to me about sandals or something, when I heard over the radio that this person had dumped the bike and was running across a public green just near to where I was driving.

I quickly, (but safely), parked my police car by the side of the road, grabbed the keys out of the ignition and started to sprint into the darkness.

On the green I could see one person being chased by two officers, who were in hi visibility clothing and I started to run to head them off. I was not wearing hi-vis, so the person didn’t see me.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, he ran straight into me, another cop and a dog. He was then grabbed by another officer, (one who was chasing), and arrested.

I returned to my car to find one very confused social worker…who then continued to talk about sandals.

I was hoping for a dog with shifty eyes here, but still was a great police tale. Yey! Keep up the good work, oh, and the story writing malarky, t'is interesting.
