Hey people. I'm happy. pb was sick of the doom and gloom, so I thought I'd share a tale of happy times.

This weekend just passed, Lisa and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. My parents had the children for the weekend, and we stayed in a hotel in Warwickshire, in the middle of hundreds of acres of forest.

We had a fantastic time, spending the Saturday in Stratford-Upon-Avon, where we went for a trip down the river and caught a production of Macbeth at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and visited the most freaky museum I've ever known - The Falstaff Experience.

On the Sunday we visited Warwick Castle. The sun shone brightly as we wandered around the grounds, walking down by the river, and up in the towers. It was fun.

It was really great to spend some time together without the children, doing things that we couldn't with them (you can hardly take a 3 year old to see Shakespeare).

The hotel itself was pretty nice too. We spent plenty of time in the swimming pool and spa bath, though the Sauna and Steam Room was a bit much for me.

Had fun wit hthe mini-bar too. It had magic sensors inside, so if we moved anything, it was charged immediately to our account. Accidently I knocked abunch of stuff over, and had to call reception to get them to remove it from the bill. Much fun.

We had an excellent time, and I thought you'd all like to know. :o)

Oh, what's more I found out that a second one of my sketches will be on Shoot the Writers, coming to ITV1 soon. ;o)

Did your previous series make it on the big screen, because I looked out for it on these boards and in the listing magazines but no sign of it?

Is this a case of great minds think alike :D

or possibly fools never differ

Congrats on a second sketch and it's nice to hear someone had a good weekend, even if the sound of the hotel did make me envious :)

Don't know yet. It was supposed to start tomorrow, July 1st, but it's been put back again.

I'll make a pretty big announcement once I know though, believe me. ;o)

Stratford's a great place. A mate of mine used to live there and I regularly went over for a night on the tiles. The women are 50% better looking than in Worcester.
