I don't know what's happened within the last thirty years to spawn such a wave of lazy people but something must have happened. Everyone wants something for nothing, think they're special in some way, think they deserve to have more from the Government, their parents or whoever they use as a scapegoat for that craphole that is a life. Too lazy to try and become what they want, just expecting things to be brought to them.
It really disgusts me that people can expect so much more for doing nothing at all. Couch-happy moaners (Sweet irony... that's not the point) talking about the latest gossip, saying how such and such doesn't deserve watchamacallit and how these rich and famous types are treated far too well.
Do you know why they are? They worked to get where they are. While I don't agree with the constant stalking of these people and treating them like walking, talking gods, why shouldn't they have money? They're worked for, and I'm sure they've had to go through bad times because of it. What, a pro-celebrity post? No, I just feel that people are unfairly treat merely because they're in the public eye. Instead of moaning about how wonderful it would be to have millions of pounds in the bank, why not do something about it? If you want a good life (if you call a good life having pictures of you half-naked looking like some sort of pig-dog splashed across the page of whichever half-wit gossip magazine you buy) get off your lazy a*se and do something about it.
Why should you gain through others losing out? Why are you so special? You're not; everyone else has to pay for what they get, everyone else has to pay for their TV licence, everyone else has to pay for living. Everyone has to work. Everyone has problems.
No, I'm not trying to paint myself as some sort of almighty god-like figure (Hi Forest Fan) that has had a perfect life in every way, I simply follow rules, pay for what I must, work for what I get. There are a lot of good people on this earth, but from what I've experienced, for every 1 good person there are 10 bad.
You can just see this by how young children are acting. Like arrogant b*stards, that's how. Unfair? Maybe, but the entire world is slowly turning into some sort of celebrity-driven Disney Land, 8 year-old girls acting like drama queens ('like' being the key word...), but like you all know, sooner of later Pluto will be ran over by a float after Mickey got hell-drunk and sick of life.
Maybe I'm moaning over nothing, maybe this is just me venting some steam on the nearest crapheap I can find, but I hate what the world is turning into. No doubt most people will argue that I'm just a moany sod, and I need a good slap, which I suppose is true, but just imagine the one person that really gets on your nerves. Then imagine in ten years time you're surrounded by that same person. 10 of him/her/it.
Well that's enough of me, feel free to argue with me, tell me I'm an idiot, I'll probably just ignore you and not bother replying (Another nod to Forest Fan? Who'd have thunk it?).
Just remember to discount this post when, in 2 years time, I'm struggling with rent on my dirty, crappy flat and I come for another moan.
Thank you.
But at the end of the day, who cares?
Their problem being miserable, so don't let it bother you.
Smiles then! :-)
But so what? Screw em.
It can be difficult when, for example, you have to share a workplace / neighbourhood / gene pool with them, but for the most part, you can cut the whining nobs out of your life.
Money - some people earn it, some cheat and steal it, some get lucky.
But all the hard work in the world won't make you that rich unless you can find an opportunity to turn that work into profit.
My friend's been doing 70 hour weeks at KFC. A few hundred a week, but even a lifetime of those hours wouldn't make him all that rich.
I see money as a root to happiness, and certainly not the only route.
At the moment I'm trying to work out a career that i) pays well, ii) I'd enjoy, iii) I have a realistic chance of getting.
Needles and haystacks come to mind.
Playing by the rules doesn't get you as far a cheating like a bas****, just look at the current US Administration for examples of how clever cheating gets you everything.
And so already we've come full circle and we're back onto the state of the world and why people feel apathy and can't change anything.
SEE!?
You can't say they worked for it when some bloke is down a mine earning nothing.
I don't know what's caused everything to go like this, but I think it's down to just about EVERYTHING being stupidly over-commercialised today.
Like you said; EVERYONE has a problem; everyone's got something to say; anyone is suddenly special and unique. "I must come first!".
And, the general laziness of everyone today... They want as much as 'they' all have, but, you're right, they're not willing to do ANYTHING about it except moan.
They don't seem to understand these people have worked for what they now achieve "so-easily". Even if David Beckham's now on over a £100,000-a-week now, gaining the recognition of Manchester United scouts - and Alex Ferguson's trust to play him - was certainly not an easy thing!
It just seems to have spread like a disease... Like the increasing number of people smoking and having meaningless sex because of their unhappines. They seem to make their unhappiness our unhappiness. They've "got" to have their say. We "have" to hear about it. Everyone's the same...

I try to be different, but it's really not as easy as some might think.
Without bending or breaking the rules at all, I try to get by doing my own thing; not simply following the suit being played. Yet, there's a great amount of pressure in doing this, because of all that's going on around you. No because of what other people might think, but simply because your own efforts won't make it all just 'go away'.

(Sorry! :) )
