I do hear a lot of hateful comments about England and the English from Scottish people. The only comments I hear from the English about Scotland is how lovely it is up there.
In all hionesty, Football of the Soccer variety smells.

I don't hate the English
It looked to me like the goalie was trying to jump underneath Terry's arms, but he wouldn't have made it very far anyway seeing how his back foot was at such an angle that he would have gotten no leaverage.
But that is besides the point. Urs Meier may say that he thought that the goalie was fouled, but there was no way he could have seen what was actually happening, and therefore he based his decision on the fact that the goalie ended up on the floow, just like he did with most of his decisions in the game. The linesman, who was closer, gave it. Unless he is 100% certain that there was a foul he can't give one.
But that is besides the point. It's not a foul at all. The problem is that he was in a bad position- he should have been nearer so he could see what was going on, but there is no way of recifying officiating errors in football, unlike in rugby union or cricket. It's South Korea vs Spain all over again...
