Unfortunately the newest incarnation of the Settlers series sounds to be a real disappointment. It all probably peaked at Settlers 2 and tapered off from there. Other resource management/RTS titles have taken over and shown far more potential. A shame, I used to love Settlers. I would imagine they'll scrap the whole thing if this title flops.

I could never get into any Settlers game after Number 2. That really was an exccellent little management game.
They've taken out all the cutsey people. And with that, the lil' cutesy sounds they made. It's just a normal RTS game now, nothing to differentiate it from others. Craaaaaap.

Yeah it isn't really anything like the other settlers, there are plenty of things to do, also you have to manage heroes. it's not terrible but it could have just been released as any game they are just using the settlers fan base. Being about to control every little man feels odd when you remember you are playing a settlers game. Plus i think they have taken out the fisherman, i'll check in a little while he was my favorite food guy.
