Well, as always, not much. But it's quite interesting.
Firstly, some old news I forgot to report. Rareware registered another name for Perfect Dark, entitled "Perfect Dark Evolution." The term, "A shot in the dark" has also been registered.
But today, Rareware has registered "Kameo". Hmmm. What the hell is Kameo?
Rareware have made a reputation of themselves by telling lies to entertain themselves. Not so long ago, one Rare official told an interviewer that there was a beta Conker that had a different ending on it. Complete crap, only told to amuse themselves.
I doubt that Rare will spend money for a laugh though...
But then, it could just be the name of a new character, such as in the next Banjo installment. I wouldn't be suprised if it was.
Next, Retro Studios, the guys making Metroid and the unknown RPG, have registered the name "Runeblade". Could it be the name of the RPG?
Perhaps. But Retro's eariler trade name was Runeblade. It would be strange to register it AFTER they abandon it, but they may just be securing it for later use, "saving it for a rainy day". They could be using Runeblade as the name of the RPG as a little in joke though...
Spyro the Dragon will be a title for Gamecube. Along with Crash, which will be released at launch, it looks like Sony don't have any mascots any more... except perhaps, PaRappa the Rapper. ;0)
In other news... *camera swiches to new angle*
It looks like Obi-Wan, the cancelled PC follow/preceed up/down to Jedi Knight, will be a X-Box exclusive. This is a rumour at the moment, but it is very possible that it is true.
Lucasarts have also registered the name "Bounty Hunter". It is rumoured to be console, but multi console. This may mean just PS2 and X-Box though, which it probably is. Bounty Hunter is not supposed to be shown at E3.
I shall be reporting news as it happens. Thank you, and good afternoon.
The headlines.
Yamuchi, a combination of Goldfinger and Mr Burns? Or just plain crazy?
Zelda and Earthbound on the GBA.
And more faked X-Box shots?
Good afternoon.
Not so long ago, Yamuchi commented on the Gamecube at E3, which I'm sure everyone is familar with... and I think perhaps we aren't looking as deep as we should...
The maker of the "flipper" chip, the high powerful graphics chip in the Gamecube, is said to be asking quite a high price for the chip. Is it possible that Yamuchi is threatening to scrap the Gamecube, to try to make them drop the price? The japanese company, NEC, is hit hard by transistor prices at the moment. As are ALL electronic goods companies, Sony AND Microsoft included.
Of course, it could just be a joke, like most people think. All I can say is wait till E3. Gamecube is certainly coming.
The Legend of Zelda has been confirmed for the Gameboy Advance... no, not a new title, but a remake of the first game. I am very pleased by this announcement, as it allows all the kids of the world to experience the game, and not think that the N64 game was the "first" one. Even though it was. Heh.
Zelda is being updated with SNES style graphics, and looks great.
Another announcement is Earthbound for the GBA. This RPG series is a welcomed return, after being missing since the SNES days.
Lastly, I wish to inform you of another X-Box game that has faked shots... You would think perhaps Microsoft would have learnt their lesson? Oh no.

(Get rid of the space, though. I'm not sure if that's 45 letters, but I'm not going to count.)
Compare the first and sixth pictures.
Spotted anything yet?
I'll give you one to get started. Look at the map on the first screen... where's the water?
And anyway, it's not anything to worry about, games wise. This game is made by Simon and Schuster. Haven't heard of them? Don't worry.
They made such games as Panty Raider, and Deer Avenger.
Looks like the X-Box has some great support...
Grix out.
I think they slightly regret keeping it in, because of all the emails they get asking for "beta copiiiissss!11"
But then, the evil side of Rare love annoying all the desperate people who love to find secrets in games... :0)
Rareware have made a reputation of themselves by telling
> lies to entertain themselves...
Does this explain that island on the dam level of goldeneye?
They haunted my mind for months for a joke? Rare must die.
And those lab bottles above the air vents in the faculty...
The silo - opening the launch bay doors with the sniper rifle and orumov's key. What about his briefcase?
The big double doors on the runway level by the tank that my confused orientation suggested they pointed in the direction of the island on the damn level...
Months of counselling to forget the damage they did. All wasted as the nightmarinsh longing for the purpose of these riddles and so many more the game posed are dragged up again.
And all for a joke?
Damn you to hell rare!
:)
