NEC looks like the best bet and there's only £10 in it really, but do you think that the technology will change?
Think how many of my MP3s/video footage/media files I can fit on a single DL disc!
I could back up the whole of my MAME collection on two discs then.
If i can squeeze return of the king 100% intact onto a 4.7gb dvd-r then wheres the point?
*Shrugs*
Because I said so, thats why.

But they will come down. As I said, it's only around £10 more for the Dual Layer NEC drive, but it's whether this new technology* will change before the end of the year.
Though Sony also has a DL drive out, so with their backing it might be stable.
*yes, I know that films mostly use DL these days, but the home writing technology is slightly different to the DVD Pressing versions.
