I'm offering to close it, and he's told me what he's expecting to make - I just want to know if I should go for it now or try my luck in bidding.
Bah, sod it. I'm not buying it anyway. I had the offer on the flat accepted so I can't really be blowing moolah on stuff like this :D
Anyone know if this is good enough? http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG5033_mega_pro_game_proj.html
It'd only be for a smallish room...
Projectors do rule extreme amounts though. I remember one time I watched the LotR trilogy on a 65 inch screen with surround sound. What a night that was. I even managed to get drunk! Hurrah!
It's down to you really. The thing is, you have to have the projectors pretty much perfectly opposite the screen, and because that's such a big (vertically) projector, it might dampen your viewing pleasure.
Not sure though. you could always sit slightly to the side of it. the real trick is getting everything in the right positions for when about 8 people come round all wanting to watch different things. I usually just end up bludgeoning everyone to death though, so no worries.
Oh, and regarding the estimation thing. I just rock that way.
He's proposing £499!
I figured it was an older model, but depending on the Lumens brightness and who he uses to ship it to me, I might just go for it (I have the ultimate entertainment room all planned out in my head!)
It appears to be an older model, but for all that stuff, I'd still say about £500 inc P&P.
Note. I don't actually have a decent knowledge about this stuff, but that's my rough estimate.
