have just got myself a brand new 9800 pro and i didn't realise that it connected directly to the power supply as i only have a 300watt power supply on my pc. will this be enough for this card to run properly.

If it's bad quality i would start looking..
Get an Antec, or a Tagan.

Worst it can do is overload your PSU which nukes every component in your PC, catching fire as it does so. If your power supply is low quality I wouldn't risk it. If your power supply is high quality it will probably be safe to test, but I'd be shopping for a new PSU anyway. Don't spend less than £40.

It depends how good quality it is, i tried mine in my uncles computer which was also a 300W and it wasnt having any of it.
Should be as long as you don't have to many high power devices attached.
