I think I know how they make their money. Firstly they send out surveys with the order, and they use that for market research and seems to sell it on to other shops and manufacturers. Also they make some money on the interest for the rebate before you get it.
They say the rebate form becomes available 5 days after you place the order. They say they ship within 1 day, so if they charge your credit/debit card on shipment, that gives 4 days when they have your money. You then can print of the rebate form from the internet, and sent it off, this gives another day. Then cyberrebate spend 10-14 weeks processing the rebate, and then send the check, taking, lets say, another day. The check has to clear taking say 5 days. This gives about
10 -14 weeks + 11 days
11 - 15 weeks + 4
The company can get interest from the money you pay in this time. They could also invest the money, in the same was a bank will, which covers some of the cost. Consider the fact that the prices are inflated by a long way, suggesting that interest or money to invest is very important to how they make money.
