Portugal made a bit of a deal of it, but deserved it in the end.
Felt desperatly sorry for Ruskie goalie, and was urging the Russians on in the second half. Portugal need to work better - Ronaldo was the catalyst for action, and I don't like him, so that's no good.

Oh i'm not doubting his abilities as a sub, i just think it'd be far better for Portugal if he's doing that for 90 minutes instead of just 20 or so

Very harsh on Ovchinnikov. There really has been some awful refereeing at this tournament so far.

I don't think the goalkeeper actually touched the ball, maybe with the hairs on his arm, but the ref would have had to have super vision to have seen that. After seeing numerous replays of it last night there was clear daylight between his arm and the ball!

Smertin's not a centre back. He's their influential midfield captain who's having to play there because they have no-one else.
The sending off put them out of the tournament. They still had a chance of staying in with 11 men, but with 10, no chance.

The sending off was a complete joke, now the Russian team is completely depleted losing a goalkeeper and *ANOTHER* centre-back (Smertin) for the next games.
Greece will get at least a draw against Russia which means the only way Portugal will qualify is by beating Spain.
Either Spain or Portugal will go out basically with Greece topping the group facing England in the quarters. Ho Hum.
