It now transpires that Hillside Animal Santuary reporte that Burnside Farm at Heddon-on-the-Wall was keeping desease ridden pigs, even dead pigs, with other animals two whole months before the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Desease.

Burnside Farm was harbouring the desease, and when they sent their pigs for slaughter in Essex the desease quickly spread.

RSPCA were refused entry the the farm was inspected by Trading Standards and MAFF on December 22nd.

MAFF inspected the farm again in January and still took no action again the Waugh Brothers who ran the farm.

Hillside Animal Santuary have video evidence against the farm showing various species of animals suffering injury, illness and desease at the farm. Despite their persistent lobbying nothing whatsoever was done by officials to stop it.

The result is hundreds of thousands of slaughtered sheep.
Farming industry in tatters.
Massive loss to the economy through reduced tourism.
Tourist businesses going under.
British health standards now the laughing stock of the world.

And I bet - those inspectors still have their jobs!

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
