It is sad what people do, but some of it is hilarious. Someone recently sold an air guitar 'with all complete cables' on eBay for around £100. How someone could be as stupid enough to buy it is anyone's guess. Someone also sold a bucket of their own shyte on eBay, recieving bids of around £75. Very expensive, yes, but if it's any good as fertiliser...
