It did star Colin Farrell, who, along with Orlando Bloom, seems to be in almost every film made in the last year. The film itself is UK produced and is set in Ireland but like a lot of UK produced films do, it didnt draw attention to the fact it was British like East is East and rely on that to pull it through. It did have Irish quirks such as the accent (which I personally love) and BUSSES, something you never see in America or American movies at least (bar School Busses). Whilst a lot of UK films tend to be garishly poor or in-your-face about the fact they're british, InterMission absolutely wasnt, it just made it easier to relate to.
The storyline is very strong and is well shot and directed with a good level of violence, romance and black humour. The film is basically a few strands of seperate stories which weave themselves amongst each other. I wont give away much more than that but the film comes with my highest recomendations and I compell you to see this. It's newly out on dvd/video so give it a rent; you'll like it.
