Regarding to my last post, just bought a domain...

I bought it off Freeola, seemed to offer me everything; now it offers me nothing because i arnt a freeola customer. I've rang them up they are going to try to void it for me, but my chances are indeed slim.

What happens if it goes through? Have i bought a piece of paper?

I think you just need to register for a freeola account to have access your control panel. You don't need to use a freeola dial-up to sign in to it, just to upload files to freeola web-space.

You can check your emails with any ISP, you just can't upload unless you use Freeola to dial up.

You can't send emails using Freeola however unless you dial up, you'll have to use your current ISPs SMTP settings to send emails.

You mean you can't use it as don't have hosting with Freeola?

You can change the DNS details, which will mean that the domain name will be 'pointed' to a different host.

Freeola will charge you £3-4 for this though.

Details are on the freeola help pages.

You dont have to be a freeola customer to be able to use it.You just have to connect to freeola over your phone line for a short time to upload pages and stuff to your webspace.
