be warned, it's about 18 megs!
it's about a toaster and a blender who see some people playing Rock, paper, scissors, so the blender decides he wants to play too.. but the toaster doesn't quite have the tools to play :)
see what you think! :)
I look forward to whatever you choose!
with regards the jerkiness, there's nothing i could do about that, i tried loads of different formats and in the end it was either a slight compromise on motion or a huge file.. so i compressed it a bit more :)
i'm starting to brainstorm a project for over the summer (done in between work and the rest of my life.. so may not get finished for ages :) ) and so far it's a toss up between doing another skit involving the same characters, or a strange propellor/airship flying through some mountains (the idea there is to use colour and sound to bring a fairly simple animation to life)...
i'm sure i'll make my mind up soon enough :)
Well done :)

Use 'Save link to disk', it's the same thing.
I'll watch tomorrow.
Excellent!

yeah, a lot of it is still fairly "default MAX" (i'd only been using the software for about 6 hours in uni before i started working on this), although i'm a lot better with the curve editor and things now so if i were to make this animation now, it would be a lot more fluid. it looks a bit start->stop in places

yeah, thats because they're fairly d.i.y as well, i just removed them to simulate blinking. a lot of the stuff that could do with changing will get dealt with in year 2 of the course. the brief for this project mean that fixing the eyes and things like that were lower priority.

hehe, yeah, i've seen that about a bazillion times :)
again, year 2 (coming up soon!) is character animation so hopefully the next short will be of better quality in that area :)

that's made my day mate. i knew my animation ond modelling weren't the best, but i'd decided to focus on the story aspect on the animation so timing, pace and framing were more what i focused on. I'm looking to be more of a "director/animator" than anything.

Still, top stuff, and an impressive (an professional) first short. I couldn't fault the timing.
