I was surprised to read this, as I thought all asylum seekers, failed or those awaiting decision, had to do mandatory work. I mean, it makes sense - in return for community service, you get shelter, food, drink and of course being kept away from the country you left - but the plan to make failed seekers to work now means I was wrong.
So it begs the question, what do asylum seekers and those who have failed (and awaiting shipping back to their home) do now in return for supplies? It makes no sense to give them resources in return for nothing, unless of course they have good reason not to work.
