Second problem, any suggestions on how I can get a better ping as I believe this could be a reason why I get disconnected from Xbox Live! so often.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Forgot to mention, I ahev both my PS 2 and my xbox connected online using the same eqipment and smae method. However, it is only on the xbox that it disconnects me.

Maximum = 31ms minimum = 28ms Average = 29ms

I have ICS with a USB modem, 288/544 upstream/downstream.
I have a NIC plugged into the PC, then a RJ45 Cat 5 Crossover Cable Snagless 25MTR plugged into the NIC and PC.
I can usually turn the xobx on and play 1 game without being disconnected, but when I switch to another game it always disconnects me.
If the former then make sure they are plugged in, that the power cable is firmly attached, the fuse isn't dud.
If the latter then make sure that you have not muted the master system volume. Check through the sounds part of the control panel.
As for your ping times what are they? To find out, open a DOS window (If you run XP then go to Run and type cmd. This will open a DOS type window.) and type ping
I doubt it is actually your pings though. What type of set up and hardware do you use for connecting to Live?
