Simple question really.
Why is it with every single musician on the planet, that once they reach 40 years of age they cant create music on a parr with their earlier work, i've noticed with everyone, from john lennon to stevie wonder to elton john, not one of them has produced anything worthy of their best.
Why does it happen, is it a loss of fire, passion, youthful exhuberance or just a lack of ideas.
I'd like to know one person who has created a classic album after they hit their 40th year.

It is probably the same thing that makes you start listening to crap music when you hit 40.

No i think the people who grew up listening to the beatles didnt stop just because they got old, but i do think they give up finding new stuff.

John Lennon was killed when he was 40, If he could have live he would have created some amazing records. Elton John made lots of big hits when he was 40+ age. Tom Jones Had many good record at 40+

The last album he made, the month before he died, is widely regarded as the worst album he ever made

Elton John made lots of big hits when he was 40+ age.

That's not what i said, i didnt say hits, i said better than his earlier work, and nothing he has done compares to his earlier work.

Tom Jones Had many good record at 40+

Now this is something i cant comment on really, most music critics are of the opinion that his earlier work is better, and anyway he is not an artist or writer, he is a singer he does what he is told, I'm on about artists, no-one creates better stuff once they hit that age, he is not the creator.
