The year is 2222, the Earth has become an overgrouded greenhouse. The natural resourecs have run out and no replacements found, the icebergs are melting day by day and soon only a quarter of the Earth will remain above sea level. Many mayor cities have already been destroyed such as New York, Tokyo and and London. It is your job to search the Universe in the new spaceship named 'HOPE' and find a new planet to support human life.

When leaving on course to the X-sector to search, something terrible happens the ship is pulled by the gravatational force of a collapsed star a 'Black Hole'.

That is the start which would have a super cool video. The game would involve you and the other astronauts to survive somewhere in space from where you were thrown by the hole. The game could have a large area of where to go, each time you start a new game you end up somewhere new. You could land on new planets and check them out, dodge an asteriod field and as the game gets harder battle against a race similar to humans.

The good thing about this idea is you could create anything from behond the Black Hole because nobody is sure what lies behond it. The game could have a happy ending where you get back home and share resources with the ailiens or a sad when you are lost in space forever.

This game I think would be a large success, and brings me to a question why is there so few space games around there seems to be so much on offer to create great games from it.

The reason that I believe that not many space games have been made is because Astronaughts have been there already. We have pictures of space and it doesn't look that interesting any more.

Another reason for the lack of space games is that so many have been created (you could say that its over-used). When they are released they are rarely 'original' ideas so the game might be predictable. The usual space game is in a futuristic space-fighter or a deadly robot and once youve played one youve played 'em all. So developers dont want to risk it becoming a flop.

Some new games however are good fun,for example ZOE is a brilliant game the added metal gear solid 2 demo also adds another exciting point.

The future of space games doesn't look to good unless we make contact with intelligent life and they give us ideas!
it looks like scottie wont be beaming up anything anymore!
