Pikmin, Metroid and Paper Mario made it a fantastic 2004.

The Gamecube acchieved some amazing titles last year. Not console shifting but some good games. Harvest Moon, Paper Mario 2, Pikmin 2 and Prime 2 are 4 of my favourite games on the system as a whole.
