Well, this lawsuit probably never came about properly: Evidence of plageurism is patchy, if there actually is any. It's just a co-incidence that the two authors had similar thoughts on use of wording.

Come to think of it, didn't Rowling try to sue that Russian who copied the Harry Potter series in several ways to create something new?

I've not much of a problem with it.

It's just, surely it'd save you time if you simply read the one sentence in the original post, rather than type up a five sentence reply.

I expect JK may have possibly read them in the past and been subconsiously influenced by them...it happens to us all...even some bands do that.

I'd agree with the publishers that the claims are absurd.

But hell, the Harry Potter books were never very original anyway.
