Basically, as the title suggests, I want to know what your reccomendations are for the best places to buy all the latest football kits, whether it be on-line or actually in a store or somewhere.

Now, 'best' can mean many different things to each person, so, just say which one(s) YOU think is/are the best to go for.

If it helps, I'm only really asking because I've finally decided to get one of those reversiable England home shirts (short-sleeved). Mainly, it's only so I have something "worth wearing" when I go to Spain next month (and, with the way last night went, I'm bound to get laughed-away on the plane back home, also!). I've been stubborn about buying one before because of the whole Eriksson thing, but, because Man United are becoming more of a joke, and it's rather expensive to buy a new shirt just for another player's name (ie. "DI CANIO" of West Ham/Charlton), it means I seem to have less-and-less shirts to wear while actually playing football in.

I'll also be looking to get the new United home shirt when that one comes out, too. And, as for the England shirt, if possible, I'm after the correct naming-and-numbering on the back.
You know what I mean... The PROPER stuff. Not like the little kids have after coming straight out of JJB, where you can clearly see the Premier League lion on the bottom of the numbers `1´ and `0´ or `7´, underneath the "OWEN" or "BECKHAM".

I'm fussy, me. :P

And I'm also interested in any sites/places that do slightly "older" shirts too. I'm talking about the "Retro Shirts", I mean the kind of places where you can still buy a West Ham shirt with "DI CANIO, 10" on the back from before they went down. I like things like that, you see...

I can remember, from my young days of reading MATCH and SHOOT, there were these adverts for things like that, where they'd have 'special offers' and prices for buying 'so-and-so's shirt from last-season with so-and-so's number on the back'...
Anyone know anywhere that still does things like that?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. :)

For tops I've used kitbag and subside sports online. Also there is a shop in Glasgow I use called Greaves Sports. Its an excellent shop and all the numbering stuff is official so good if there is one near you.

Think prices seem to be the same most places. Have yet to see any cheap places online.

For footy boots I use - http://www.prodirectsoccer.com Excellent service and good prices.

Thanks, don ortega.

Yes, they do seem a little on the expensive side of things, but they do the exact kind of lettering and numbering I'm after. So, I've decided I'm gonna buy the England shirt (and the new United ones when they come out...) from 'somewhere else' first (I've seen it for £29.99 somewhere...?), and then sent that off to them paying the small cost to get (probably) `8´ and `SCHOLES´ plastered all-over.

Either than, or I'll get `11´ and `LAMPARD´...?

And, thank you, Wakka, for reccomending Jaggs.

I doubt I'll be buying many new shirts from them, but they've got a great range of footwear and boots for me to bear-in-mind. I'm also tempted to get that navy Barcelona away shirt from them (at only £22) and to then send it off to the other place for `9´ and `KLUIVERT´, even though he's leaving them now.

It's something 'different' to play football in and he's a player I admire you see. :)

'Jags' is great. Lots of brilliant sporting gear from shirts to equipment and it's online!

I shop at www.subsidesports.com

They have pretty much every football shirt in the world (top leagues anyway)

Got the new Argentina away shirt from there a couple weeks back and will be ording the new home one in due course.

Only problem is that they take usually a week to get the product to you, but no other store i know of offers the range of shirts they do. They aint the cheapest either. I wouldnt buy common shirts off there, just hard to find ones.

For the man utd shirt just get it off manutd.com they will deliver it to your door on launch day before 9am.

I'd go with toffs for the retro shirt. Actually purchased one off them and it was good.
