Has anyone been to the British Motor Show in Birmingham yet?

I went today; it was pretty good excluding the crazy prices for snacks (e.g £3.00 a burger). But overall it had a wide variety of cars, even some new releases.

The ques for the 4x4 experience were huge so i didnt bother. The action arena was pretty good, but it seemed to be aimed for the younger audiences.

THe Mini show was worth the time. But not too much improvement from the last show.

My favourite car there had to be the SLR; well worth the short que to get a seat in the infamous Mercedes/Mclarens.

I dont really know if its worth the drive from down here in Essex but if you live near its well worth the visit.

They should have sold the original ove here- I would do practically anything to get a right hand drive one if I could drive. :)

Depends what you're into really. I love cars - they're my main interest. This show was the best I had been to - it would have been perfect if Dodge had made an appearance.

The test drive section was ok, but there's no point when the queues were as big as they were - you'd be better off going into the Dealer's showroom and getting a test drive.

Oh, and did I mention Burnout 3? :D

EDIT - also, it would have been perfect if Ford finally decided to produce the Mustang in the UK. I love those cars...

It looked pretty rubbish on 5th Gear, bar the bit where you get to test out the various cars.

Yup, the queues for the Caterham Experience were huge, and never seemed to move, but it was worth it.

And Burnout 3 only 'pretty good'?!

Hang your head in shame!

SLR was definitely the highlight of the show, wasn't it? :)
