Could do with some help from anyone with the know how.
Im having problems surfing the Internet on my Laptop (currently im sat at the grubby home pc). I was using my laptop at 9pm last night as usual, and then came back to it at around 12am and came across some problems, including Norton Virus checker playing up.
When i try to connect, it dials up as normal, and connects, password gets verified as usual. However, i cant browse the internet, and it wont load up any webpages even though i am connected. At the bottom where IE tells you what webpage it is loading, it says 'www-cache.freeserve.com' and wont load anything onto the page. Also, when using things like MSN and trying to connect, it fails, saying im not connected, even though i have dialed up and connected.
Confused? Me too.
Anyone any idea as to what the problem might be?

If you try and surf to http://216.239.59.99/, what happens?
I used to get this when I used Tiscali as my ISP. I never worked out why, it seemed to be random. My advice is to create another nework connection and just add the phone number and the username.password, without changing the default settings, and give that a go.
