How would I go about creating a screen that comes up whilst a flash movie is loading, and when it finishes loading the movie automatically moves to the first scene?

Not sure what but the way I said is definitly similar to, if not the way you're meant to do it.

Well that doesn't work. I mean a loading screen which stays up until everything is loaded, not just flashes up for one frame and then disapears while the rest (sound etc) is still loading.
Just make scene 1 have the loading text and scene 2 have the rest of the stuff on it.
While the first scene loads nothing will be displayed but it will only be a second or so, then while the second scene loads the first one will display until the second scene has finished loading.
I think there's something in the play preferences about how it should load as in load in scenes...
