It's good to see her actually doing something rather than being "that bird wot married that ginner from TFI fridays"

Equally it would be nice to see Chris Evans do something other than acquiring a beer belly and renting pornos.

hehe. Bonnie Tyler sang Total Eclipse of the Heart. Bonnie Langford was the assistant you might have been thinking of, she was Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy's assistant for a while.

Too long in some people's books. The story of an order for 500 units of her action figure being placed, then the suprised toy firm realising they were being used for target practice is legendary.

Oh, and some people believe that Dr Who is terrible because they are so used to special effects and no storylines these days that they miss the point of a series actually having a story. Of course, if you're not into sci fi anyway....

I used to fancy Bonnie Tyler when she was Peter Davidson's (I think) assistant.

All I can attribute my madness to is hormones.

She's actually not a bad actress from what I've seen. Certainly better at that than singing. But the show is inherently terrible anyway, so it makes no difference.

No, No, NO

when I was a wee lad I used to fancy that assistant he had - 'Ace'. Sylvester McCoy was the doctor at the time.

Of course, I'm all grown up now.

It's not all that bad. Billie showed promise in the Chaucer remake and at least she has 'some' acting experience. She's not going to be written in as a 'screamer' either, so it's not another Bonnie Langford (thank god).

Give her a chance, they wouldn't have chosen her unless there was a good reason (and no, that doesn't include Chris Evans paying lots of money).

This is a link to her BBC page with a clip of her in the Canterbury Tales:

I thought she was dead.
Ah well, it won't be long now before she actually is.
