I've just ordered the 6 disc DVD set for a friend and was wondering: is there definitely going to be a extended/longer/super-duper version of this released?

If so, could someone provide me with a link where I can read some details, please?

Cheers.

I prefer the extended Badger version at http://www.weebls-stuff.com/

..though the website seems to be down at the moment, but while you're there, check out the Kenya animation.

It will happen - well, bloody better do, as I've got the other two.
I expect the casing will be blue as well. You may call me up on that one.

But it won't be released until about October or November, I'd say (at least, that's about the time the other ones were released) - with a super-amazing special extended all-movie box-set thingumy around for Christmas.

It'll happen, but they'll be looking to cash in on the extended RoTK first - and that'll be sometime in Sep-Dec.

Hopefully they'll boot out the extended box-set by this Xmas though, as it's the one I'm waiting for.

Since it's 6 discs, if it was extended it would have a whopping 12 discs in the set.

Heheh!

Yeah did that with Season 1 and 2 (seperate dates) despite watching them all through on TV as well.

I'm watching the LotR trilogy back to back tonight from 6pm until 2am sometime.
I expect to die.
