I'm currently getting an upload error when I'm trying to upload an extension package (for Joomla).

Several threads suggest that the ini.php file is set to 2MB max filesize per file uploaded. Is this the case with my account?

Just a case of process of elimination.

I see from the VIP+ php info page that it's set to 2MB. That's what was causing the probs.

It's not a problem doing a manual upload/install. I've already given it a go.

Many thanks for your pointer. At least I know now.

You can find out the max upload and other php.ini settings by using the phpinfo() function, just create a php file and put the following:

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

Upload the page to your web space and then view in your browser. You will then see something like this.

This is the PHP configuration for your server.

If the max upload limit is not high enough for you to install an extension package, you will need to install it manually by uploading via FTP, you can find more information about this on Joomla's site.

Perhaps this type of thread ought to be directed towards a Technical Support representative via a telephone call, rather than within an open web development forum which really doesn't deal with particular individual 'cases/problems' as such:-)
