However, which kind of gamer is going to buy it? Is this the industry just attempting to bring more non-gamers into their fold? In that case it's a good idea, it means that more people will be buying games (however naff), and developers will get more money to plough back into researching new and better games for the rest of us.
On the downside, we can expect to see a lot more pap coming out in future. WWTBAM did quite well in its cross platform sales, so you can expect to see TWL do quite well also, Activisions prime motivation for snapping up the licence I suspect.
What next though? Eastenders? Wheel of Fortune? Good Morning with Anne and Nick? Richard and Judy?
