...and it was pretty nasty. I was having an opperation on my eyelid under local anasthetic. The eyelid was turned inside out and i could see everything that was happening throughout the whole opperation, such as the guy with knife like tools coming towards me. The worst bit was the injection at the begining tho. I could feel the needle in my eyelid. Ouch.

Any of you been in hospital recently?

I don't hate hospitals as such, but patronising doctors who think you don't understand what they're saying. In the last 19 years I've seen over 30 doctors, all of them more than once, and I can honestly say I've actually not wanted to stab 4 of them. One in particular, Dr. Green at the Birmingham children's hospital, came very close to having several major organs removed with my biro.

Nurses, on the other hand, I like ...

Told me I would be there all through the morning had I stayed, so I cut my losses and jumped to the top of the cue the next morning.

Most hospitals see people quicker in the evening - as less people get injured when they're sleeping.

You would have been seen sooner if you stayed.

Yep. Basically I went in the evening, left at midnight, when I saw this was going nowhere, came back the next morning and left, finally seen in the afternoon.

It's not a good hospital. Once, when I thought I broke my arm, I waited over eight hours, over two days!
