Ranieri is the man for the job. He's mixed young englsih talent, with experienced players, and its work fantastically this season.

Life isn't about being better than Arsenal. We need to improve, that was our aim for the season and we achieved it. Our highest league position for 49 years.... Lost to you every game? Erm no. We beat you in the most important one. And no matter how much you can say you don't care, we all know you do. Carlo Cudicini handed you the first league one, and he's a fantastic keeper, so you were lucky. I haven't seen the other league or the cup game so I cant comment on them.

In the words of Silent Scope "Sour grapes"
We did fantastically well to get that far, and we were very proud of the team for their achievements in Europe this season.
Ha did an arsenal fan just make a comment about another team flopping Europe. Oh the hypocrisy.
> 11 off us in the league.
You've had a fantastic season in the league, and just because we didnt come top, doesn't mean it wasnt a successful season. 2nd place is a great achievement for us. And we finished higher than one of the best teams in english football.
> no silverware.
Was never an issue this season. We know you can't build a team in one season, and it's just a matter of time. Other people don't seem to understand that, (such as most people).

Arsenal wanted to win the Champions League this season. Everyone knows that. It's still their main aim.
> Money doesn't win success?
unless you're blackburn. look at inter milan, they haven't won anything with the millions and millions of pounds they've spent. wenger's spent £120ish and recouped £72ish that's next to nothing for a top class team over 8 years. chelsea need a wenger who can spend the money, to buy talent to make superstars. buying players with fat wages never worked.
> We've had a fantastic season.
i beg to differ. lost to us every game except for when you get through to have a hard flop against monaco. 11 off us in the league. no silverware.
> I was just laughing at the way the gooners try to cover up the fact

who would want to go unbeaten?
yakubu's a beast. all 4 of his goals were worth watching. i'd value him in the arsenal team next season, but i can only see him moving to birmingham or villa or staying.
"Yea yea proves money doesn't always win success..."

Well, money ain't the National Lottery now, is it!
However, it will certainly get you somewhere with what you BUY - Chelsea have had great success in their own improvments this season following a number of promising years on-the-verge.
And your time will come again, you Gooners... Just like it appears to have done with us. Nothing good ever lasts... For-ever! :P
> Still the capitals were a tad inappropriate.
Inappropriate? Why.
The man's a genius. It must be emphasised....

Yeah, Forest's record is 42, but Arsenal won their last two games from last season...so...... they are on 40 and actually need three!!
oh well, you say pompey fans am great, everything am fine.
We've had a fantastic season.
Runners-up in the league is a success. Great achievement.
I was just laughing at the way the gooners try to cover up the fact they didn't get what they really wanted.
And Badgerman, I have no problem with Pompey. I didn't say that. The Chelsea fan's sung it. Portsmouth fans are great. Well I think so after that Arsenal game. I salute u sirs.
> WAYNE BRIDGE. THERE'S ONLY ONE WAYNE BRIDGE, THERE'S ONLY ONE WAYNE

Yea yea proves money doesn't always win success just like in Spain aswell with Valencia winning the league there :p
> WAYNE BRIDGE. THERE'S ONLY ONE WAYNE BRIDGE, THERE'S ONLY ONE WAYNE
> BRIDGE. WAYNE BRIDGE.
Is that the response from the person who said Pompey'd "never beat Southampton"
Sit down.
