These Television awards. Now before you all go, "omg yeh dey r crap", that's not what I'm actually complaining about.
What I am complaining about, though, is the crookedness of it. Now, my mum watches Corrie and Emmerdale. She despises Eastenders. And, though I'm ashamed to admit it, I watch Corrie occasionally.
Anyways, these awards. A few weeks back, Corrie took everything in the Bafta ones or whatever the hell they were. Eastenders wasn't even nominated.
Yet here, Eastenders is sweeping everything. And one thing I don't get, is that last year that Nigel bloke was nominated for Best Newcomer. And he was nominated... again... this year... and won.
I don't get that.
I've got this conspiracy theory all thought out, y'see. The What's On TV listings mag, which my mum gets everyweek, has an editor (oddly enough).
Now, this editor was on the panel of judges for this thing.
The thing is, though, is that what's on the front page of the TV mag week in week out? Yaha. Eastenders.
Look at me in my rage over soaps. I'd better watch my blood pressure.

Nope but i guess we'll see it plastered all over the tabloids on the main page with the actual stories that affect the world stuck on page 34 inbetween the viagra adverts and problem page

Most award ceremonies are very rarely about the actual talent of actors and the entertainment value of the programs. Just look at the Oscars, more politics involved in that then a general election
