So I spent the early part of last night in a little village where they have been having problems with youths and cruisers, (in their Nova’s and stuff). I then spent the later part of the shift walking Cambridge city centre and talking to some girl who insisted on calling my baton a “python” and was impressed that it extended to the size it does. She then dropped her drink and soaked my colleague, but never mind, eh?
Tonight will be much the same no doubt, last shift of the week so I’m hoping for a quite one.
Had an interesting arrest the other day though, started out as what I thought was a standard juvenile shoplifter, but when I got back to the station it turned out his was missing from home for over 2 weeks and wanted by CID, who had been after him for ages for burglary. They were muchly happy with me.
Then the house was visited by Jehovah's Witnesses ... who were scared off by me.
Oh, and more driving to area’s where we’re having problem youths. Oh, and then an intruder at one of the universities. He was seen on CCTV to enter the premises and not seen to leave, so we had to do a search of the grounds.
How were your nights?
:)
My cousin met a new lady at work other day - she is about three years younger than me and when she heard his last name she supposedly squated 'O I know Claire and mark mizen' in an essex accent indeed 'O yea she the tiny pretty ginger bird in sixth form who does all that dancin yea mate'
Now from common muck this is aa good description

> That gorgeous policeman…he was a friendly chap, but not my type.
...Said the DC as he took out his baton and waved it around in the direction of English Bloke.

I am of the same opinion...
"talking to some girl who insisted on calling my baton a “python” and was impressed that it extended to the size it does."
Hmm... I'm not too sure what to make of this....
When I did my two tours of 'Nam my weapon of choice was the .78 claibre gattling gun. I had to carry this monster and ammo, which weighed as much as the gun, around for 3 years. I eventually swapped it in Cambodia for some bubblegum and a packet of Lucky Strike.
True story, apart from all of it.
