my pc crashed and we had to reboot it. when rebooting the internet did not work. we reinstalled the internet and the modem. We have freeserve broadband with a alcatel speedtouch connection. whenever we install it agan it install fine but then when we click on the button to connect it says this:
RAS capable device (alcatel speedtouch USB ADSL PPP) not found. Check that your device is connected properly. Failed to create a dial-up networking entry (Alcatel Sppedtouch Connection)
IT says this even though it is connected properly.
And when i try to manually set up a dial up network there is no option to do so.
Does anyone ahve any ideas?

Hi, The only option left was to reboot the whole pc, get rid of everything and install the lot again, and its worked, just thought i'd let you;s know, thanks for the help

Yeah, do this:
Go to My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager
Uninstall the Modem completely.
Shut down. Remove the USB/Cable from the modem.
Boot back on. Install the software + drivers.
Reboot if necessary. Plug modem back in.
Go to My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager

When you reinstalled the modem you did unplug it? As you need to make sure the modem is not plugged in when installing the software.
