i have set up a gaming website - www.uk-gamer.tk
but some of my freinds say it lacks color and just hasn't got the something that it needs...

i don't know if any of you could point me into any sort of helping direction. *hint* *hint*

Background colour needs changing, and the font on the images isn't amazing. Althought the layout is easy to understand it is a bit basic and uninventive. Give it a bit of thought and maybe do some concept drawings before you start on the PC and try again...

Too put it nicely, i take it you are using HTML and bodging bits of Java-Script which has been copied/pasted anywhere you see fit.

Its wrong, also you seem to link to every gaming site possible, and kind of pass all those games off as your own work.

I dont know if you are trying to make a 'Gaming Directory' or a 'Gaming Site' but at the moment it is neither (as Such). You need to get a more 'Complex' layout, perhaps using tables and if you want it to become popular stay as far away from Free Webs as possible.

But it needs more 'Character', looks to me like you have mashed a few buttons in frontpage.

When i first designed a site i was given 'advice' like the stuff i gave you, it may seem harsh but it makes you work.
