Today was really crap, and has left me with a terribly sorrow-filled taste in my mouth. First I barely got any sleep last night, so I felt pretty bad in the morning, on top of the fact that for the first couple of lessons at school I felt like I was going to throw up. Then I got some detention for no reason from some excuse of a teacher, and its on Friday, which should be against the law. And then, despite being let out early because the boiler broke, I get home to hear by far the worse news of all. My brother has been re-diagnosed with cancer, and is going to have to go through the long and hurtful process of chemotherapy all over again.

It was bad enough last year, when a unbelievably dreadful string of events all occurred (my brother’s cancer being most probably the worst one) next to each other, leaving me understandably depressed. Scarier is that this time he might not be able to get it done privately as my dad is on the verge of losing his job.

*sigh*

Rant over. Lets just hope tommorrow works out a bit better...

As i've already said, thanks for all the support, but I am confident that it isn't going to be easy but it won't be as god-awful as last time. I wish good luck to both of you, Edgy and Tim, in the tough predicaments you are faced with also.

Bad stuff, Ashman. :^(

The ex-missus' mum is about to start treatment for cancer (the day after tomorrow) and she'll be living with us for the 5 week course she'll be on, and probably for 5 more weeks while she recovers. She (the ex-missus) lost her dad to cancer 10 years ago and her brother-in-law last year, too.

All the best, mate.

Sorry to hear about it Ash.

I'm in a similar position to yourself at the moment and know how you're probably feeling.

No doubt he is a strong and brave guy. Last time he went through it he was in the process of A-levels, and despite a continued illness still came out with two A's and two B's. I admire him, and i'm sure he can pull off again what he did last time, even with Uni going on.

Thanks for the support.

Im sorry hun.

Life is very poo sometimes and it always seems that when something bad happens - more bad things happen till they all amount to one huge bull of crap. I know how hard it must be to watch him - I beent here before but seeing it is your brother it must eb so much harder even still.

I'll pray for him and I hope he is a strong and determined lad. Having it for the second time has no doubt crushed him

I understand Nash, and I expect everyone to feel much more sorry for my brother, after all its his life at risk. Its just the suffering of watching a member of your family, and for me, the closest member of my family, have to suffer this tragic disease. It was rare that we had good moments when this disease plagued him last time...so whats to say it won't be the same this time?

Although technically, I feel more sorry for your brother than you, It's still not a good thing to get something like that, especially within a family.

Losing my grandfather wasn't easy, but nothing compared to my brother's cancer. We all thought it was over...we were all so relieved. Life really is a b*tch.

I can see what you are going through. I lost my grandpa (even though I wasn't alive at the time) 20 years ago and my gran, last year from cancer.
